We build a custom plan based on your schedule and your goalies abilities. I never like to change a goalies style, but help them improve the style that is most comfortable for them.

A goalie coach can help goalies improve their technique, develop new skills, and increase their confidence in the net. By providing personalized feedback and support, a goalie coach can help goalies identify areas of improvement and work on them until they become second nature.
A goalie coach typically has an hourly rate from $60 - $120 per hour. Goalie Camps can range from $400 to $1500 per week. This can range depending on the type of session and training involved. This typically does not include the cost of the ice or any shooters. Sometimes getting a group together to split the cost of ice can help goalies afford private group sessions.
Most goalie coaches were also goalies. When goalies get to certain levels of playing they do anything they can to stay as close to the game as possible. So, in the off-season they begin to coach younger goalies through other goalie schools and when they are ready they start their own business teaching goalies.
This is a great question and one that has a million answers. The only correct answer is that the best goalie coach could be any one of us. I believe that the best goalie coach is someone that you feel comfortable with, that has the right type of experience to help you grow, and is someone that is continuously learning themselves. As the game and position evolves, you want a goalie coach that is learning and evolving too.
Do your research! This is not a sprint and its ok to interview and even test drive a goalie coach before making a more long term commitment to train with them. Michigan is blessed to be a hockey state, meaning there are some really passionate people that want to help kids and adults alike find this great game of hockey and more specifically the goalie position. A great place to start your search is by asking your local association if they have someone that coaches goalies. This could be a great way to learn about the goalie coaching position and your goalie alike. Plus, if your association recommends them then they must have the basic qualifications needed to be assisting you.
There are a few coaching databases on the internet that provide a list of contacts for goalie coaching, but the best way that we know of is word of mouth or google searches. If you are in or around the greater Flint or Brighton areas in Michigan we would love to talk to you.
